PLATED LA is an organization that seeks to help BIPOC & female-owned restaurants in Los Angeles.
WHO WE ARE
We believe restaurants and the food they serve are an integral part of any community—be it Thai Town, Boyle Heights or Inglewood. As the landscape and demographics of our city change, we aim to preserve the cultural institutions that make up L.A. for the next generation.
WHAT WE DO
Identify and elevate cultural and culinary institutions in neighborhoods across LA
Strengthening networks within the local ecosystem and building connections to the greater LA community at large
Immediate crisis relief for restaurants and community residents impacted by Covid-19
COVID RELIEF SERIES
During these difficult times, we’re focusing our efforts on raising funds to purchase meals from local restaurants that will, in turn, be donated to organizations that service the community and those struggling right now. No one should go hungry. And our local restaurants are eager to make food to serve Angelinos in need.
DTLA: NICKEL DINER
For our first initiative, we’re teaming with the iconic Nickel Diner, a female-owned LA landmark.
Funds raised will go toward providing meals for the Downtown Women’s Center and Wesley Health Centers — where they will feed those facing homelessness and home instability.
